Lake District

This region lies in the north-west of England, before reaching Scotland. A popular holiday destination, it is renowned for its lakes and mountains. In the centre of the region lies the Lake District National Park, one of the largest in the UK.

The Lake District boasts magnificent scenery, and literary enthusiasts will love discovering the host of poets, authors and novelists who have lived in the Lake District. It was here that Beatrix Potter wrote children's books such as The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
